At Street and Park we like seeing how new materials can be incorporated into our existing ranges or even custom products. We were approached by a landscape architecture firm to customise our Shoreline Range. Instead of the standard large section recycled jarrah slats, we set out to create a surface by utilizing glass re-enforced concrete. A mould was created to the dimensions of the frame with radiused edges to soften the seat base, this base is commonly mistaken for a cushion because of its appearance. But with the durability of concrete, and the ability to be coated in a anti-graffiti coating the glass re-enforced concrete base provides an excellent alternative to timber or aluminium slats.
